History of make-up
If you are a woman you've probably done this: you're fourteen years old, you're hiding from your parents maybe in he bathroom at a mall and your best friend is standing guard while you sneak on mascara, lipstick, a really hideous shade of eye shadow, it's all about testing sexuality and really defining yourself on your own terms. .
Make-up is a pigment, powder and wax, but it is also a lot more. Throughout the years, the way a woman took care of her face spoke volumes about her character and about the society in which she lived. In its early incarnation make-up was worn on by woman of questionable morals (actresses, nightclubs singers, international singers, and models...).
Circles of blush, deep pallor, and a saucy beauty mark were all signs of the wamp in the 1920s and 1930s.

By the 20s:
a- eyebrows are long arched extremely thin
b- mouth cloaked in an almost ( black red lipstick)
c- eyes were always rimmed in black inside and outside carrying it out and down toward the cheek-bone to give it more of an edge.

By the 30s:
The most extremely thin, highly arched eyebrows and the brownish red elongated cupids-bow lip for a smoky effect, the eyes were lined inside and outside with black. The creases of the eyes were made extreme with a dark liner; the lid and the eyebrows were kept pale with a beige shadow. Everything was powdered with a pale melt powder. Very little blush was used during this period.

By the 40s:
Women didn't have time for extensively make-up their faces because of war.
Eyebrows: well defined, arched brows.
Mouth: full brown mouth with outline.
40s make-up was classic, simple (eye with touch of mascara-light dew foundation mixed with moisturizer. Hint of apricot blushers on the apples of the cheeks-powder on the face hardly seen).

By the 50s:
Make-up precisely defined ultra feminine. The Vargas type was a glamour queen and false lashes and perfectly shaped lips. Eyes were very important during that period, black liquid liner blended with smoky brown eye shadow into the creases. Foundation is golden light with a translucent powder. Beige pink for lip lining and light lipstick (depending on colors of eye shadows and clothes.

By the 60s:
In the mid 60s many women abandoned make-up and all it stood for. They were nobody's kewpie dolls. Those naked, or the right faces demanded to be taken as they were and taken seriously. We went from clean-cut Beatles to hippie wood stock. From the glossy vamp to the Mary Quant flower child. Make-up reflected with wildness the decade:
*Example 1:
Pale foundation to contrast the very dark liquid eyeliner that is painted on top and bottom of lids to make eyes look as longer as possible, deeper eyes with lining inner eye with black pencil. Stroke iridescent blue on the lip and peach on the brow bone, yellow or gold lipstick and gloss was very much fashionable.
*Example 2:
matt foundation -arched eyebrows, darker with pencil. Eyelid beige shadow with chocolate brown blended into the crease of the eye for definition. False eyebrows one by one -for emphasizing the outer corners of the eye chocolate lip liner filled with barely beige lipstick.

By the 70s
The glitzy Olsten tediousness. Make-up all glitz and frost meant to be worn at night under a mirrore ball and it continued towards 80s. Make-up was all about purple colors nightlife: Saturday night-fever and men wearing make-ups.
*Example
Eyeliner upper and lower lid smudged with purple shadows. Frosted pinkish blush sprinkle glitter under eyebrows lip-lined with dark burgundy red and filled with pinky purple lipstick superficial glamour.

By the 80s:
Punk is the perfect example for this period in a way made everything related to beauty more interesting and certainly more challenging foundation is pale. Black colors are the colors especially because its harshness contrasted with white skin tones, Foundation on lips contouring cheeks for strong definition.

By the 90s:
Bleached eyebrows, metallic lips, heavily lined lips- brightly rouged cheeks.

Make-up in general
The four basic make-ups combinations:
Face1 light eyes + light mouth
Face2 light eyes + dark mouth
Face3 dark eyes + dark mouth
Face4 dark eyes + light mouth

Facial treatments:
Every woman and man has to take care of his\her skin. Cleansing your face daily (day& night) home with milk and lotion as prescribed to your face texture if oily or dry skin. Peeling and mask (as prescribed by your beautician) also have to be done once weekly at home if there is (black points, white points…) you have to see your beautician and to do professional cleansing (nettoyage) and this has to be done for dry skin every 3 months and for oily skin every 2 months (in beauty institute).

Hair 2003
Short hair cuts are the fashion nowadays, they give a dynamic style and suit more thin and tiny colors are wild (big strokes of platinum mixed with brown routings), also brown is long hair with cut in layers (degrade) gives a very young look.
Curly hair is so much fashion depending on what texture the hair is.
